Double & Single Hung Windows

The timeless sash window, done the traditional way — choose the classic weights-and-cords system or a low-maintenance spiral balance. Single hung (one moving sash) or double hung (both), matched to your home's era.

The classic sash, two ways

Hung windows are the classic vertical-sliding sash. Single hung has one moving sash (the bottom); double hung has two, so you can open from the top and bottom for better airflow. We build both, matched to your home's era and proportions.

You can have the traditional weights-and-cords mechanism that period homes were built with, or a modern spiral balance for a lighter, low-maintenance action. Faithful heritage profiles, solid timber, single or double glazed.
