New Independent Test Results Now Added to Our Timber Awning Window Page

We have updated our timber awning window product page with independent test information so you can see more clearly how this product performs, not just how it looks.

This is the first step in a broader rollout. Today, the awning window page is the first product page to receive this update online, with more product pages to be expanded over time.

Importantly, this does not mean the other products have not been tested. Independent testing information is already available within the business across other products as well, and we will be progressively adding that material to the website so it is easier for you to review.

Why we added it

When you are comparing windows, you want more than a list of features. You want confidence that the product has been properly tested and that the quality behind it is real.

  • Independent test information helps you make a more informed choice.
  • It gives you something concrete to review when comparing options.
  • It shows that traditional timber windows can also offer serious performance.

What the results show

The updated awning window page now includes key performance results from an independently tested Townsend timber awning window sample.

  • No water leakage at 1000 Pa
  • No collapse at +3300 Pa and -3300 Pa
  • Housing N5 rating achieved

What that means for you

In simple terms, it means you can now see that our timber awning windows have been independently tested for weather resistance, structural performance, and strength.

  • You are not relying on marketing alone.
  • You are viewing a product supported by real test results.
  • You can choose timber with greater confidence, knowing performance has been measured as well as crafted.

Why this matters at Townsend Joinery

Townsend Joinery has always focused on building timber windows that look right, fit properly, and last well. Adding this information to our product pages is another step in helping you see the value behind the workmanship.

It also reflects something important about custom timber joinery: you should not have to choose between appearance and performance. With the right design, materials, and construction, you can have both.

More product updates are on the way

The timber awning window page is the first product page we have updated online with this level of test detail, and more product updates will follow as we continue publishing testing information across our range.

If you are considering new timber windows for your home or project, our updated awning window page is a good place to start. And if you would like to talk through sizes, glazing options, or the right window style for your build, Townsend Joinery is here to help.
